I am currently working for a medical billing software company, is this the best place to start or am I wasting my time and should be doing the actual billing? I need to know what is the best way to gain experience.

I'm thinking about obtaining my partner in the medical transcription and billing. I was going one these skills to make computer software for medical companies. So also have the technology or something to that effect programming. It is a defect? What are my prospects?
