There are still good jobs out there. Where? In the medical field! That’s because there are more people than ever who are getting to the age that they need medical attention from the whole aging process. Plus, the same number of people as ever will continue to get sick or hurt. Let’s face it: The medical field is not going away.
And the jobs that available are not just for doctors and nurses either. Hospitals and health clinics need all of the usual support staff too. You know what I’m talking about. Like transcriptionists, janitors and even medical billing people. And here’s one that I bet you didn’t already think of.
Those people who do the medical billing need very specialized software. So if they need this specialized software, then they are also going to need people to develop this software! And software development is a business where there are millions and millions of dollars to be made. So if you become a medical billing software designer, you can get your hands on a piece of this big money. Obviously there are certain educational requirements to get the skills needed to do this. But once you are educated great jobs with great job security will be there!
Any type of development software jobs, including medical billing software, is a great industry to get into. It is always growing and there is always so much to learn.
I went to Apollo College and recieved a degree in Medical Assisting. I love the medical field but i want to do something else in the medical field and this seems like an awsome thing to do. Thank you for the information.
Healthcare is one industry that is practically recession-proof. People are always going to need to take care of their health. I know a few people who have lost their jobs recently and were able to find new jobs working in doctors’ offices.
medical software is huge right now … there is a big medical software firm in my metro that seems to always be hiring, even in the recession. If you can get your foot in the door, you are set!
It is interesting how it can be so hard or even impossible to find jobs in some industries while others keep hiring instead of firing. Thanks for the info.
This is good advice. Getting any kind of job in the medical industry seems like a good bet right now. It’s one of the few recession-proof industries.
I’ve been trying to get a job as medical support staff, like a receptionist or secretary, and actually, those jobs seem like they’re really difficult to get! Either that or I’m just not a very strong candidate.
The medical field and software engineering are two excellent career choices. Combining the two seems like a sure-fire way to keep a steady job. Plus, if things did go bad, it would probably be possible to transition into related work in either field.
